Gold Star Banner, Gold Star Service Flags

The Gold Star flag, or Service Flag, is authorized for display by Americans to honor family members who lost their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces during any period of war or hostilities. Organizations may also display the flag to honor members of that organization for the same purpose.

Gold Star Mothers Day is observed each year on the last Sunday in September.
